The last 2 years has been pretty intense. It all culminated in our degree show which came down a week ago, after catching up on some much needed sleep I now have time to reflect. I have posted just a couple of images of my final piece, if you want to see more then you can see more on my website, charmainewatkiss.com

It has been some time since I have updated this blog. My MA Drawing course is pretty full on even though it is part time. I am in my second and final year. Last year was very productive – all went well with my first residency, you can read all about it here. And you can see the film which has just been released below.
My work has also just been featured a publication called: Ethics: Preserving Voices Vulnerable to Erasure, published by Shades of Noir. You can read the article here.
I received some good news over the week end. I my application for a residency with Lumen has been accepted, I am so excited. The residency is in Italy, in a town called Atina not far from Rome, I will be there for almost 3 weeks in August. Really looking forward to seeing where it takes my work….
One of my drawings has been used to promote Second Floor Studio‘s drawing open, which happens in May. It is a huge compliment – I will be making new work to exhibit and will update you on my progress!
New drawing work in progress
I am an MA Drawing student at UAL Wimbledon in my first year part time. I will post works in progress on my blog… drawings, printmaking, video and anything else I am working on. I will share things that inspire too! I
